A major urban regeneration project on a former railway goods yard in Chalk Farm, providing 202 new homes grouped around shared gardens and children’s play areas. The scheme comprises terraces of family houses interspersed with apartment buildings, providing for a range of household sizes. The brief included requirements for diversity and supported housing.
The scheme sits at either end of the site (with a retail store between) – the west end fronting the Regents Canal with a high level public walkway and mews behind – the east end forming a quiet, enclosed garden oasis between 2 railway lines.
The project won the Evening Standard Award for Best New Development by a Housing Association in 1997.
