After a successful bid JCMT were appointed to masterplan the regeneration of the Colville Estate. The Colville Estate is located in west Hackney, bounded by the Regents Canal Conservation Area and Shoreditch Park. The proposals provide up to 1,100 new homes, including a minimum of 500 affordable houses and flats. The scheme would be delivered on a phased basis, with former Hackney tenants decanted and then re-housed in the new development. Non-residential facilities include offices, shops, health centre, children’s nursery and community centre. The scheme connects the canal to Shoreditch Park, recreates traditional street patterns and provides high quality public realm.

The masterplan proposals include full engagement with both residents and Hackney planning department through a rolling programme of regular meetings, workshops, events and visits.
